You haven’t had rice until you tried this unique Filipino take with Bamboo Rice from Abe an upscale restaurant in Alabang Town Center, Manila suburb Philippines. Rice cooked inside a bamboo!!! Just getting some amazing nomnoms during our trip in Manila Philippines. Not just served on a bamboo, no it was cooked inside the shell. How awesome is that? Fun doesn’t end, waiters bring out big bamboo sticks and start hitting them in a song like rhythm to separate bamboo and rice. Not just any regular rice, its a mountain rice cooked with shrimps, wood ear mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Flavor was unlike any rice I’ve tried before and I think now every rice I order better be steamed inside bamboo shell! Must try dish. Even though this is a more of an upscaly restaurant the dish cost only 250 pesos which ends $6 dollars.
