Mcbrunching tart away. You are enjoying a lovely brunch appetizer at the heart of Down Town Silver Spring, DC’s foodie suburb. Every Sunday, you get a three-course meal for just $20 with a choice of drink, appetizer, entrée, and dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this place has a great brunch. Its a big Boris fist-size square crispy tart filled with a mixture of avocado, tomatoes, mozzarella, and scallions. All that topped with a sunny side up egg and a piece of bacon. This is one of those dishes you got to enjoy a little bit of everything together in every bite for the best flavor combination. Big decision to make when eating this is about the bacon. Should you eat it all up in one go or maybe break up and enjoy the meal. For bacon lovers, those are hard choices! Make sure to pop that egg and get the yummy yellow yoke all over. The tart tasted a bit dry unless we added the yoke and made it much better. Still, every flavor seems to fit just right, and a light flavor was quite enjoyable — the right way to start your brunching adventure at this bar-restaurant.
