Explore the Filipino delicacy that is Century Egg from Gloria Maris a dim sum restaurant next to Green Hills mall in Manila Philippines. Its a preserved egg also known as black egg. Exploring the amazing world of dim sum after some crazy shopping. Had to try this famous asian delicatessen right at the source, especially when its just $4 (190 pesos). Its an egg preserved in the mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months. I’ve tried this before back in USA and didn’t like it as much. It was the texture that I didn’t like, but of course any asian dish is much better in Asia. Here in Philippines it has more flavor and light texture. It was an interesting dish that I really wanted to try. Not so sure its my thing really.
