Crepes Brulee from McGinty's

Irish Pub with Great Fixed Brunch Menu @ McGinty’s

Tart Appetizer

Mcbrunching tart away. You are enjoying a lovely brunch appetizer at the heart of Down Town Silver Spring, DC’s foodie suburb. Every Sunday, you get a three-course meal for just $20 with a choice of drink, appetizer, entrée, and dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this place has a great brunch. It’s a big Boris fist-size square crispy tart filled with a mixture of avocado, tomatoes, mozzarella, and scallions. All that topped with a sunny-side-up egg and a piece of bacon. This is one of those dishes you got to enjoy a little bit of everything together in every bite for the best flavor combination. The big decision to make when eating this is about the bacon. Should you eat it all up in one go or maybe break up and enjoy the meal. For bacon lovers, those are hard choices! Make sure to pop that egg and get the yummy yellow yoke all over. The tart tasted a bit dry unless we added the yoke and made it much better. Still, every flavor seems to fit just right, and a light flavor was quite enjoyable — the right way to start your brunching adventure at this bar-restaurant.

Crab Cake Eggs Benedict

I might have brunch eggdiction. I am enjoying a lovely brunch nomnom at the heart of Down Town Silver Spring, DC’s foodie suburb. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this place has a fabulous three-course brunch for just $20. It is hard to pass up ordering Eggs Benedict, and we might have a problem. Love poking holes and letting all the runny egg yoke flow everywhere. After all, why order poached eggs unless they flow. So many places do it wrong, but here they do it right. It comes with two solid crab cakes that would make Maryland proud as a crab state. They are not too big and left us wanting a bit more. What set this apart from everything else was the potatoes. Don’t know what they did to them, but they tasted so good. I almost asked for extra. A great dish to enjoy for any meal of the day.

Crepes Brulee Brunch

When two desserts fall in love, they make a tasty brunch baby — enjoying a sweet dessert with our brunch at the heart of Down Town Silver Spring, DC’s suburb. It’s as if crepe and cram brûlée got married and had a baby. One very delicious baby. They combined the best of two things with crepe covered in lemon custard base cream and topped with berries and toasted pecans. It wasn’t just sweet, and it was super sweet with a mixture of soft and crunchy texture. I kind of wish they give you a knife to eat with because the spoon is just not sharp enough to cut through the crepe. Was pleasantly surprised to find out this place has such a fabulous three-course brunch for only $20.
