These are hard times and many brave people are risking their lives to save others. One of the best ways we can thank them is by making sure they have a good, warm meal. With your help, we can feed medical staff and help restaurants and their staff with much-needed work. Below is a list of organizations, companies, hospitals, and restaurants that you can use to directly help frontline health care workers. The Market at River Falls, started delivering food to Fire Stations 10 and 30 – our local stations at Falls Road and Oaklyn Drive and River Road and Seven Locks Road – and to Suburban Hospital. We are also delivering to Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad and Rockville Fire Station 33. Dinner is being delivered once a week to the fire stations and lunch twice a week to Suburban.
I am the store manager at Scotto’s Rigatoni Grill. We have started a campaign #feedloudounsfrontline and have been sending food out to the local hospitals, fire and police personnel as well as grocery staff.

Off Their Plate is a grassroots movement that focuses on feeding tireless frontline COVID healthcare workers by restoring work and livelihoods to the local restaurant workforce. This organization facilitates delivery and provides financial backing and restaurant connections.
Slice of Hunger is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization that has raised over $590,000 to battle hunger in the US since launching in 2009. Now they are addressing the need during COVID-19 by partnering with local pizza places to help medical staff.
Frontline Foods, a partner of World Central Kitchen, is a grassroots organization that raises money from the community to pay local restaurants to prepare meals for the heroes responding to the COVID-19 crisis.
World Central Kitchen is a nonprofit by Chef José Andrés that provides fresh hot meals to hospitals, clinics, and schools by partnering with local restaurants. WCK partners with and provides logistic support to local grassroots organizations that are supporting their communities and health care workers.
This organization has hospitals located in Prince George’s and Anne Arundel County with a central location at Doctors Community Hospital. Your donation will help equips medical staff and provide proper nourishment during these hard times.
You can help feed the Sibley Hospital’s medical staff in Washington, D.C. through their Feed the Front Lines portal. Donations will provide meals to staff and may be used for other COVID-19 related support as needed.
Send Breakfast & Coffee from Bethesda Bagels
One of DMV’s best bagel chains, Bethesda Bagels is gathering donations to help feed medical staff. They will send delicious breakfast and lunch with coffee to the local hospitals. Your donation will go toward helping feed medical staff and putting restaurant workers back to work.
Dawson’s Market organic store in Rockville Town Center takes up donations to deliver 500+ box meals to the doctors and nurses at Shady Grove Hospital and their affiliates. Each boxed meal includes a sandwich or wrap, a healthy side, a cookie, and a drink. The market will work with a hospital to make sure to accommodate various dietary restrictions.
The popular D.C.-based fast-casual pizza chain &Pizza teamed up with Citi Bank to start Hero Kitchen. This effort is dedicated toward feeding front like medical staff battling COVID-19 nationwide. Your donation of $10 or more will feed several hungry people and they will send the pies where they are needed.
One of our favorite fast-casual vegan burger places in Silver Spring is running a special with every PLNTY Meal (burger, sides, and drink) sold, they will donate another to feed local hospital staff. You can place a donation toward meals for medical staff through Venmo. In addition, to pick up, you can order delivery apps
A local fast-casual restaurant chain sends healthy fresh meals like salads, sandwiches, sides, and desserts to the medical front line staff in the D.C. metro area. Your donation will go toward keeping their staff working and ensuring the medical staff is fed with healthy meals.
Breakfast & Brunch from Original Pancake House
A popular DMV breakfast and pancake chain are collecting donations with the "Pay It Forward" program from $10 to $250 amounts.
A local pizza chain with several locations in the DVM region raising donations through a Gofundme campaign. So far they have gathered over $15,000 in donations from people and several local organizations.
