Start your Asian tapas dinner adventure with dumplings at this unique restaurant on U street, DC. The area has been transforming so much that we are super excited to dive into this food heaven with our first Doi Moi dish. This place has a very fluid identity with a mix of tapas and family-style meals, enough to satisfy every craving you might have. Great way to set the mood for your noming dinner as you wait for more food. It’s not just crisp, its extra crispy thick with that nice crunchy bite — fried goodness on the outside and soft pork filling on the inside. The pork was nicely seasoned with a strong flavor that shined through the crispy shell and dipping sauce. Kind of wish there was a bit more pork inside some of the dumplings, it was a bit uneven meat portion distribution. Best is to split them in half and dip every bit into their yummy sweet and sour dipping sauce for that extra flavor kick. You will want to double-dip and trust me this one time it’s ok because we are nomsters like that. You are listed on the menu as Kiew Tod Fried Pork Dumplings. Order up and let us know what you think.
