Chesapeake Eggs Benedict from Getaway

Gateway A New Brunch Spot in Columbia Heights (CLOSED)

Chesapeake Eggs Benedict $13

Dive into the bay—a great dish for brunch with high quality. I’m usually not a big fan of asparagus, but this one was prepared very well. I thought I would still be hungry, but surprisingly, their size is misleading (in a good way), and it filled me up. This is probably one of my favorite brunch places in town now.

Fried Green Tomato BLT $10

Now, this is a new weird. This is not your regular BLT, and this is a more refined version of Applewood smoked bacon, mixed greens, goat cheese, and avocado ranch on a brioche bun and regular sweet potato tots.

French Toast $11

Dam girl, those are some hot toast you got. One word, AMAZING! Above all expectations, this crunchy french toast just blew my mind. Let’s order a few more.

Goat Cheese Rosemary Dumplings $9

Got to try these famous dumplings. It’s like a mix of sweet goodness with cheesiness. Lemon honey was a great addition! Make sure to get a bit or a lot of it to make it even more nomnonm. Tiny little things with nomnom things inside with fresh rosemary, Crispy wonton skins, Lisa Mathias, lemon honey, and goat cheese.

Chorizo Grinder Burrito $13

Zomg, now that’s a brunching. Great egg burrito! I could really taste everything. That little thing packs a lot in it with pepper jack cheese, onions, tomatillo sauce, Chorizo sausage, peppers, pico de gallo, and flour tortilla.

Mimosas

A great way to finish up the brunch with some drinks is with.
