Metro-North Pizza

It takes a cheese train-up pizza red line stop with Metro-North Pizza from Pete’s New Haven at Down Town Silver Spring, DC, a super foodie suburb. It’s the double pork over cheesy goodness! Crispy thing crust comes with slow-roasted pork, pancetta (aka BACON!), ricotta, and caramelized onions. Taste buds will be having a party with every bite. You could taste every single topping. The only thing we did alter it by adding some mushrooms. It was a great idea! This is our new favorite order from this place. It would make for a great lunch or dinner. It was as amazing the next day as a leftover, and nothing beats cold white pizza. Not the cheapest pizza for $26, but honestly, it’s so worth it. I didn’t think it would be possible, but this is now our favorite white pizza place, and so far, nothing comes close. It will satisfy any white pizza fan out there.

Napoletana Pizza $26

Let’s catch some pizza anchovies at one of our favorite pizza places in Down Town Silver Spring, DC foodie neighborhood. Get ready to bite into a pizza with a powerful flavor. Olives, garlic, and anchovies create a refreshing salty flavor. It’s like it’s too salty, but then it’s not. My taste buds were very confused and intrigued; they wanted more. So light on the sauce combined with thing crust, and you can taste all the toppings. A rare thing for red pizza. A big plus for me since I am not a big fan of tomato sauce. We went for the massive large pie because they go fat or go home. So big that even two of us could barely finish half. Next time make sure to bring some extra hungry help. Defiantly a must-try pizza for all those who like weird and strange flavors.

Elm City Pizza

Time to take the train to white sauce town with Elm City pizza from Pete’s New Haven in Down Town Silver Spring. We are not a big fan of red tomato sauce pizzas and were super excited to see a pizza place with several white sauce pies. Ah, and they delivered on quality o much that this could be one of our favorite white sauce pizza places. We picked the one that has the most stuffed packed into it and went to town on it, lol. They pack a lot of toppings on without making it cause the pizza to come. It is topped with goodies like Fontina (Italian cow’s milk) cheese, grilled chicken, sauteed mushrooms, and caramelized onions. The crust was top-notch, skinny, and light. Made all the toppings and cheese flavors to come through. I love the big chunks of mushrooms. Made it mushroomy goodness. That is one big pizza, and we had trouble finishing even smaller size ones. I kind of wish this pizza wasn’t as oily, tilt to the side, and a beautiful stream of oil dips to your place. Lucky, it didn’t taste as greasy as it looked, so aside from needed extra napkins, it was all right. Price-wise the pizza falls on a higher side with a $19 price tag, but for the quality and quantity of food, you get it’s worth every penny. The number they give you is associated with the table you should sit at. Not something they explained or marked anywhere, and we were extremely confused by numbers. After all, the numbers are scary! Aside from scary numbers, it’s a must-try pizza place, and it’s our new white pizza to place.
